MP declares Space Business Centre Gloucester officially open
Gloucester MP, Parmjit Dhanda, officially unveiled the brand new ‘Space Business Centre Gloucester’ at the development’s launch event held on Friday 6 March.
The event was well attended by key figures from Gloucester’s business community including representatives from Gloucestershire First, the county’s economic partnership, the Federation of Small Businesses, Business Link South West, Gloucester Chamber of Trade and Commerce and Gloucester City Council.
Alex Gale, development manager at Space Business Centres said: ‘Contrary to the current economic doom and gloom we’ve been really encouraged by the level of interest in the units and hope to have our first occupiers signed up shortly. Throughout the development we have been really impressed with the support offered by local business groups such as Gloucestershire First and will look to develop these working relations further in the future.
David Owen, chief executive of Gloucestershire First, who also attended the opening said: ‘By working closely with the development team at Space Business Centre Gloucester, local business support organisations, including Business Link, Train to Gain, Gloucester City Council and our own teams in Gloucester Works and Parklife, will be able to provide advisory services to incoming tenants.’
The 53 small business units at Space Business Centre Gloucester range from 357 – 721 sq ft and are suitable for a variety of uses including industrial, workshop, office and storage and will be let on easy-in, easy out terms with a maximum of just one month’s commitment.
Space Business Centres will be opening a similar 56 unit development in Cheltenham which will be ready to occupy in May 2009.
Space Business Centres is offering the first three months rent at half price. Units at Gloucester can be rented from as little as £76.50 per week, subject to availability.
